Description
This course provides foundational training in the federal hazardous materials transportation regulations found in 49 CFR. Designed for hazmat employees at all levels, it covers the history and legal basis of the regulations, DOT enforcement and penalties, material classification, packaging requirements, communication standards including markings, labels, and shipping papers, and basic emergency response procedures. Upon completion, employees will be able to identify their responsibilities under federal law and recognize key compliance requirements at every stage of the transportation process.
