DESCRIPTION:This course offers a detailed introduction to the hazardous materials transportation regulations in 49 CFR. It is intended for HazMat employees who need a comprehensive understanding of the decision-making process required for hazardous material identification and classification\, determination of proper packaging\, fulfillment of communication requirements\, and provision for appropriate transportation controls. This course provides waste identification information as well as familiarization with the additional and unique DOT requirements for the transport of hazardous wastes.
